Since Holland America Flower Gardens is the retail entity of Holland America Bulb Farms, we acquire many different types of flowers directly from the grower. This is important because there is less handling of the product which minimizes labor, the middle man, and storage costs. It also cuts out freight for locally grown products.

Extended Vase Life

How do we ensure extended vase life? First, we know exactly how the flowers have been handled from the time they are picked, packed and shipped or stored in our coolers. Second, we are located on-site at our farm which gives us access to extra cooler space set at the best possible temperatures. Temperatures are important because the warmer the environment the faster the flowers will open. We send out our orders a little less open so the end consumer can enjoy the flowers for longer. Arrangements stay fresh from 1 to 2 weeks depending on the room temperature.

Customized Design

Whether you are creative and artistic or need a little help in designing, our staff is exceptional at customizing flowers to any occasion. Every time we get an order we consider your needs and work with flowers we have available to handle your request. We have excellent designers on staff, and they love to create one of a kind, unique arrangements.
